CBS Stumbles, Again
As if anyone had any doubt about the quality of reporting done at CBS, the “news” company is not content with holding the title for “Worst Interview Ever” and has sought to go double-or-nothing with it’s latest blunder.
The CBS investigative report television show, 60 Minutes, had setup an interview with the current President of France, Nicolas Sarkozy. Often consider the most ‘fail’ worthy country by internet snarks and ignorant high school bullies, France seemed like an easy target for CBS. After their terrible interview with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, they needed a win and it seemed that France was the right place to go.
Unfortunately, the nickname “Sarko the American” only goes so far. He stormed out of the interview saying, “No, no. This is stupid.” He was barely convinced to come back and talk about the United States, yet a few minutes later, he ended the interview for good, claiming he was a very busy person and that CBS was wasting his time.
CBS fails, now worse than ever, at conducting interviews. How is this possible? 60 Minutes once had the highest reputation around the block. While speculation and rumors run rampant about the White House writing scripts for interviews, it’s more likely that the old show has seen better days and has, like a old war horse, fallen deathly ill. As any horse owner knows, sick horses are taken out and shot. Double failure on CBS’s part: terrible interviews and not recognizing when to stop.
Good job guys!
